Game Of Thrones Season 7: 8 Things You Might've Missed In 'The Spoils Of War'

7. Bend The Knee

In a scene charged with much more sexual tension than their previous encounter, Daenerys once again tells Jon to bend the knee, asking him: "Isn't their survival more important than your pride?"

This should sound very familiar to Jon, because it's a direct role reversal of a situation he once found himself in. Back in Season 5, after Stannis had defeated the wildlings, Jon said the exact same thing to Mance Rayder. Obviously he refused, and was subsequently burned at the stake then shot with an arrow.

It's yet another sign of the wildling in Jon, after Tormund told him back in The Children: "You spent too much time with us, Jon Snow. You can never be a kneeler again."
