Game Of Thrones Season 7: 9 Big Questions After 'Beyond The Wall'

8. What Will The Wight Dragon Be Used For? (And What Will It Breathe?)

HBO

In one of the biggest game-changers of the series, the Night King has got himself a dragon. Not only does it totally upset the 'dragon has three heads' theories everyone believed in - even if they could still sort of come true, with the Night King (or potentially Bran?) as the third rider - but it strips Daenerys of one of her children, the living of one of their biggest weapons, and makes the White Walkers even more ridiculously powerful.

The question now turns to how the Night King will use the dragon. For starters, are we going to see him ride it into battle? He's normally on horseback or foot, but then he hasn't usually had a dragon, and it'd be odd if he didn't ride it really. As for its use, will it be effective in a battle? It is still a wight, so should be mismatched going up against its fire-breathing siblings.

There's also the idea of the dragon being used to burn the Wall down, which is a very intriguing idea, but will it happen? It has to come down somehow, and it doesn't look like the Horn of Winter is turning up anytime soon. Finally, there's the question of what it now breathes: still regular old fire, blue flames, or ice?
