Game Of Thrones Season 7: 9 Hints From "Eastwatch" Trailer

1. Bad Things Are Coming

No sh*t, Davos. No sh*t.

Just as the beloved Onion Knight expresses the most obvious thing ever (can you blame him for simplifying? He's been banging on about the coming threat for ages now and nobody seems to listen), the trailer reveals Bran's warged ravens flying over the dead hordes, spying on them.

This is clearly the vision he transmits back to Jon.

Incidentally, what are the logistics of warging here? Can he warg into a whole unkindness of ravens, or does he simply warg into the raven wing commander and guide the others using raven language? In either case, what the hell's the point sending a bunch of ravens when one would do? Seems a bit silly.

Shame they couldn't have been fitted with wildfire suicide belts or something.

It would appear that the army of the dead is as vast as that nagging sense of doom we all have suggests. There's also a little glimpse of their hellish leaders on their horses in the middle, as ever given a wide birth by their underlings, because they don't seem to like to fraternise...

The question here is whether we'll actually see them attack Eastwatch this episode. That's a resounding no. The castle might be attacked between episodes, so that when Jon and his party appear they're a small extraction team rather than an army of reinforcements (hence there only being a few of them), but there's no way we see all out war again.

Not in a 59 minute episode. The white army will probably only get to fight in the sixth episode.
