Game Of Thrones Season 7: Everything We Know So Far

1. The Great War Is Here

While that Season 7 teaser contains famous quotes from throughout the history of the show - from "the Lannisters send their regards" to Daenerys' storming "break the wheel" monologue - there was one new snippet of dialogue, albeit something that sounds familiar to what we heard forewarned in Season 6.

At the end of the tease, we hear Jon Snow's voice, saying: "The same thing is coming for all of us. There is only one war that matters: The Great War. And it is here."

It's an ominous - dare I say stark... - warning, and what it references is quite obvious: the White Walkers' invasion of Westeros, and the combined forces of the people (and Daenerys' dragons) fighting against them. It sounds like Jon is trying to win people round to his side, something he's been trying to do for a while, and stop their relatively petty squabbles (indeed, this is the sort of thing you can imagine him saying to Dany, whose eyes are firmly on the Iron Throne).

It would be a surprise to see that battle commence in Season 7 though, given there's another run to come, but it should be well setup this year. However, there is at least one major battle coming this year, with Emilia Clarke telling TV Line:

"Last season's battle was ridiculous, but this season, there's another battle that's epic," she said, before going on to add that they've "topped it."

Just over four months to go...
