Game Of Thrones Season 7 Finale: 10 Major Predictions For 'The Dragon And The Wolf'
4. Mini-CleganeBowl
CleganeBowl is one of the biggest fan theories that just refuses to die, and we might be about to get a taste of it in the finale. While the initial notion of the theory has passed - trials by combat are no more, and Cersei has faced (and defeated) the Faith in a different manner - there's still room for a clash of the Cleganes to happen, and not-so-incidentally they'll both be in the Dragonpit.
It's the first time in years they've been close to each other, and Sandor at least retains a hatred for his brother (it's unclear what feelings, if any, the undead Gregor has). The show, which has been in a fan-servicey mood for much of Seasons 6 and 7, might give us more of what we want and have a full, epic duel between them. Alternatively, it could let us think that's what we're getting, but then not have the pair cross swords.
I think the answer, then, will be somewhere in the middle. It won't be the trial by combat level battle people once got hype for, but the two will at least have a brief fight once things in the Dragonpit start to go south, before something else interrupts it. It'll give us a bit of what we want, without going the whole hog.
