Game Of Thrones Season 7 Premiere: 9 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Dragonstone'
6. The Humour
There's quite a bit of darkness in this episode, what with all the slaughter and slow coming of the dead, but what's more pleasantly surprising is just how funny it manages to be too.
The scene in the Citadel, highlighting Sam's mundane life as he empties chamber pots and re-stocks shelves, went on a little too long, but it was also pretty humorous, which comes from some supreme editing for the montage.
Euron also manages to be hilarious as he makes his transformation into a walking, talking charisma bomb, especially when he delivers that "I've got two hands" line. Ouch, Jaime.
Then there's the Hound, who is his similar no-nonsense self as he mocks the top-knot of Thoros of Myr, which is not something I expected to hear on Game of Thrones, and yet thank the Gods that we got it.
And, of course, a brief look from Tormund to Brienne. I don't foresee them ever actually becoming an item (her heart belongs to Jaime if anyone), but it's never not funny watching Kristofer Hivju pull those ridiculous expressions.
