The Case For

Of the Seven, Thoros is the least well-known and, as a result, the least loved (that's a testament to the others rather than a reflection on him). That makes his death the easiest avenue to go down for the show. If Beric is to go down for good, then Thoros likely needs to die too, and the Hound seeing into the flames could be a passing of the torch (kinda literally). He's a servant of the Lord of Light, so there's something fitting about him dying at the ends of the White Walkers, who represent R'hllor's true enemy.

The Case Against

It's the most obvious option, so maybe the show will surprise us all by keeping him alive. And while the show has focused more on Beric, Thoros is a hell of a warrior himself, so won't be easily defeated.
