Game Of Thrones Season 7: Ranking The Probability Of 13 Major Character Deaths In 'Beyond The Wall'

The Case For

The action beyond the Wall won't be the only story told in this episode, as the trailers and images have shown we'll be seeing some of the aftermath of Littlefinger's scheming in Eastwatch. Ultimately that will backfire on him, and he's a character who doesn't have much of a place in the endgame, meaning he is set to die this year. If Arya catches on sooner rather than later, then that catspaw dagger could be put to good use in episode 6.

The Case Against

It's most likely a little too soon for this to happen. Littlefinger's plan has only just been revealed, so it'd need a rapid turnaround for Arya and Sansa to discover what he's up to and then execute him in the same episode. While Littlefinger does indeed seem destined to die at Arya's hand this year (or perhaps Brienne's instead), the Season 7 finale is more fitting: it's 81 minutes long, which means there needs to be lots of drama to cover, and this can wait for then and be better set up too.
