6. Euron Greyjoy

Euron is the first of three ‘big bads’ of the season, and despite actor Pilou Asbaek’s claim that he’d make Ramsay Snow look like a pushover, he’s easily the least threatening of the trio of Season 8 villains. Although all them are potentially on the chopping block, Euron is definitely the one in the most danger.

He’s still holding Yara, and Theon has almost completed his redemption arc, but there are some complications to that. Theon is heading for the Iron Islands, having finally recovered some credibility from the Ironborn. Thanks to Cersei’s shrewdness though, Euron isn’t actually at the Iron Islands as he’d told everyone. Instead, he’s off recruiting mercenaries for Cersei.

What this means for Theon or Yara’s arc is anyone’s guess; will Theon’s crew rebel against him once they’re home? Will they find and free Yara? Will they discover Euron’s mission and pursue him? Whatever happens, returning to the Iron Islands seems like the beginning of Theon’s ultimate vengeance, not the end.

It’s fitting that either Theon or Yara delivers the final blow to Euron, but Game Of Thrones doesn’t always do things as you’d expect. One way or another though, surely Euron will meet his demise in Season 8.
