Game Of Thrones Season 8: 15 Stupid Blunders That Completely Ruined It

14. Ghost

Game Of Thrones Cersei
HBO

Poor Ghost. After Jon was resurrected early in season 6, Ghost was nowhere to be seen for the rest of that season or the entirety of season 7. His return in season 8 should have been triumphant, but he was underused and mistreated.

He returned in episode 2 but only in the background, then in episode 3 he charged at the army of the dead in the first 20 minutes…and wasn’t seen again for the rest of the episode. Then he showed back up in episode 4 missing an ear and sent away by Jon without even so much as a pet, because Jon is terrible.

Okay, so Ghost did get his pets from Jon in the finale – and rightfully so because he’s the goodest boy ever - when Jon returned to the Night’s Watch, but Jon didn’t know he'd return there. Hell, he didn’t know that it was still a thing (neither did we; what do the night's watch even do now?).

So when he sent Ghost away, he very much thought it was the last time he would he see him and couldn’t so much as go over to pet him goodbye…all because the show-runners didn’t want to spend that CGI money to give Ghost any significance. Shame. (*ding ding* Shame.)
