5. Tyrion Realises Dany's Gone Too Far (And Is In Danger)

Let's be clear here: Tyrion has been a well-intentioned idiot for quite some time now. Almost every plan he's ever overseen has ended up in a military loss of some sort and it was him who got both Missandei killed and Dany threatened when he passed on Jon's secret to Varys without thinking. He's in trouble this episode, because there's no way he's going to sit back and accept what Dany has done.

He implored her not to kill the people of King's Landing and his disgust and despair at her doing just that shone brightly last episode. He's also not the kind of person to not challenge Dany, particularly as he was willing to give up his own life to free Jaime so he could try and avert the massacre.

In the end, Jaime did all Tyrion could have asked him to, but it was all too late and now Tyrion is still going to have to answer for letting his brother loose from his captivity. Even though it made no difference to the battle. It's unlikely Dany is going to think that, though.
