He might have done precisely nothing other than checking equipment, decrying the North's racism and putting a massive target on his back thanks to his "let's plan our future together just before I go to war" speech with Missandei, but this episode should offer a few big moments for Grey Worm.

Unfortunately, the ominous feel of the shots of him at the start of the episode suggest he's not long for this world. In fact, the Unsullied generally look pretty doomed and it says a lot that most of the battle preparations focus on them as a unit...

The best theories suggest that the Dead Army will cause catastrophic losses and both the Dothraki and the Unsullied will be permanently retired at this point. In the most fatal of ways. Think about it: the real stakes here, as confirmed last episode are between individuals: the Night King versus Bran (and Jon or whoever is appointed as The Prince Who Was Promised) and between Cersei and Jon or Dany.

While everything is huge in scale now, we have to get to a point where it all shrinks, which means Dany's army has to lose heavily here, then the Night King has to defeat the Golden Company in similar fashion and only the important few can be left in the fight. That'll be why it all looks so ominous for Grey Worm and his men...
