Game Of Thrones Season 8: 7 Possibilities For Jon & Daenerys' Relationship

1. A Song Of Ice And Fire

Is it possible that it all ends happily ever after?

Considering the scepticism raised regarding Dany’s infertility, right before she passionately fell into Jon’s arms, it is almost inevitable that the Breaker of Chains is now carrying his child.

There had previously been dialogue between Daenerys and Tyrion foreshadowing this in episode six: Beyond the Wall, where her hand encouraged her to think of a succession plan.

Jon is the son of the Prince of Dragonstone and a wolf of Winterfell. Theories suggest this makes him the Song of Ice and Fire on which George R.R. Martin’s novels are titled.

Any child of Jon and Daenerys would also contain both Stark and Targaryen blood. Could this baby be the true Song of Ice and Fire; the future ruler of the Seven Kingdoms? Children of Targaryen incest have sat on the Iron Throne before. Once Cersei, who clearly isn’t pregnant herself, is destroyed, who would be around to challenge this dynasty?

Best case scenario: Jon and Daenerys marry to unite two of Westeros’ most powerful families, with the latter sitting on the Iron Throne. Sansa is a strong ally in the North and Jon conquers the Night King to rule by his wife’s side. Forget the incest, it’s what we want.

But this is Game of Thrones after all. Is a happy ending too much to hope for?
