2. Tormund Returns

Good news, Tormund fans, the Giantsbae is back at Winterfell and within clutching distance both of Jon and of his beloved Brienne. Most importantly, Tormund arrives at the Stark home with news of what he, Beric and Dolores Edd found at Last Hearth.

Presumably, they used Edd's horses to gallop beyond the army of the dead and make it to Winterfell with haste ahead of them. And they're not bringing good news. Tormund will presumably confirm that Jon send young Ned Umber off to his death as well as relating the "message" the white walkers left for the living at Last Hearth.

Having so many characters who have actually SEEN a white walker symbol in one place should also hopefully lead to some sort of interpretation of the symbol (or sigil, if you like) in a concrete sort of way. Because repeatedly showing them without any more meaningful interpretation than "this means something" can only go on so long.
