Game Of Thrones Season 8 Breakdown: What 'Winterfell' REALLY Means

10. Could Cersei Actually LOVE Euron?! Or Is It A Ploy?

Euron is great. He always has been, but his appearance in 'Winterfell' just doubles down on his mythology. He's arrogant, swaggering and the only person so far capable of sparring with Cersei verbally and not being killed or punished. In fact, he's actually REWARDED for it as she takes him to her chambers. They seem to share some genuine, barbed affection.

Could it be that Cersei is legitimately in love with him because he dares to challenge her? Is he another of her taboo kinks? A man unmoved by supposed etiquette? Or is she using sex with him as a cover for her pregnancy? Was she even pregnant in the first place? Even more hauntingly, could she be trying to get Euron to impregnate her to deliver on that lie to Jaime and make it impossible for him to kill her? There is the whole Valonqar prophecy to worry about, after all.

Meanwhile, there's the faintest suggestion that the Golden Company aren't actually as impressive as they were billed, mostly because they don't have elephants. "I was told there would be elephants" says Cersei, to the show's budget team. They presumably look down sheepishly, mumbling something about effects costs of direwolves let alone squads of bloody elephants...
