Game Of Thrones Season 8: Every Character Still Alive For The Finale (And What They'll Do)

3. Jon Snow

Game of Thrones Jon Snow

Last Time: Watching open-mouthed and teary-eyed as Varys' predictions about Dany came horrifically true and King's Landing burned.

What He'll Be Doing: Jon has the key role this episode because it falls to him to kill Dany. He's the only one who can get anywhere near her because of her continued love for him, which has already protected him from any punishment for betraying her.

Jon will receive counsel from at least Tyrion and perhaps also Davos and Arya in deciding how to deal with what happened. He's likely to be unable to do anything at first before he's left with no alternative by the realisation that his family won't be safe as long as Dany lives. He'll kill her, which will destroy him, and will then have to be dealt with himself.

The best theory from there is that Jon ends up taking the Black to rebuild the Night's Watch and perhaps returns to Castle Black for a reunion with Ghost and (hopefully) the Free Folk. But can he even choose to get out of being the king? Well, as resident Thrones lore expert James Hunt says, Maester Aemon did just that. And he was a major influence on Jon.

Live Or Die? Live.
