17. Sam Tarly (& Sam & Gilly)

Last Seen: Left at Winterfell, waiting for Gilly to give birth to their second child, who they want to call Jon if it's a boy. Sam doesn't appear to be in much of a hurry to get back to the Citadel these days.

Chances Of A Sighting: It's possible, because they're probably still in Winterfell. But Jon Snow saying goodbye the way he did sort of suggests they aren't going to meet again. They could also have gone back to Horn Hill for Sam to take up his place as the head of the Tarly household.

One theory suggests Sam will play a key role in choosing who will sit on the throne before his final fate is decided. And he could also end up on the King's council.

Live Or Die? Live, happily ever after. But probably not as the recounter of the history of the Seven Kingdoms as everyone seems to be suggesting he will be. Sam should just give it all up to be a family man in Winterfell.

16. Yara Greyjoy

Last Seen: Vowing early in season 8 to take back the Iron Isles in Daenerys' name and reinstall herself as the Queen of the Iron Born after Theon rescued her from Euron.

Chances Of A Sighting: It's possible, but not at all necessary now. The Greyjoy story is finished with the death of her delightfully malevolent uncle, which is precisely why she was sent away in the first place.
