This isn't just the end of the story, or the show. It's the end of almost a decade of work for the actors involved; for all of them, the biggest thing of their careers. So suffice to say, things got a little bit emotional, with EW detailing the stars' reactions to the final scripts.

Sophie Turner said it was "overwhelming" and that she felt "numb", while Emilia Clarke told the publication: "I turned to my best mate and was like, ‘Oh my God! I gotta go! I gotta go! And I completely flipped out. Genuinely the effect it had on me was profound. That sounds insanely pretentious, but I’m an actor, so I’m allowed one pretentious adjective per season.”

After that it was time for the table read, for which only two actors hadn't already read them already. One was Kit Harington, who wanted to wait and have the full experience of hearing it from his co-stars and friends, and during the read through he wept twice, including once at the very end.

The other actor was Liam Cunningham, though not for lack of trying, telling EW: "The f**king scripts wouldn’t open, the double extra security!" Which I think confirms he is now Davos.
