Game Of Thrones Season 8: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best
5. Brienne Of Tarth
Brienne of Tarth's story in Season 8 is a slightly tricky one to untangle, because it's so tied up with Jaime's, and a lot will ultimately depend upon how you see that too.
But then, here's a look at all that Brienne accomplishes this year: she's made a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, in one of the most moving scenes in Game of Thrones history; she leads an army in battle, fights bravely, and survives; for one of the first times in her life, someone she trusts and cares about sees her as a woman, and she's able to let her guard down; there's the heartbreaking scene when Jaime leaves, which Gwendoline Christie acts the HELL out of; and then she becomes Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, ready to help lead a new chapter of Westeros history while still remaining so good to her core that she pens Jaime's entry in the White Book too.
Brienne goes through a lot, and she keeps on fighting and remains one of the few truly decent and noble people in Westeros, and that itself is an achievement.
