"Our enemy doesn't tire. Doesn't stop. Doesn't feel."

Seven hells, the first trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 has arrived. It's been a long wait for a proper look at the footage, and an even longer wait for the season itself, which feels like it last aired back when Old Nan was just Nan.

It's very much the kind of trailer we've come to expect from Game of Thrones, which is increasingly shrouded in secrecy. It does a lot while actually revealing very little: there are some hugely evocative shots designed to make us worry or speculate about their true meaning, some glimpses of battle to get us hyped, and above all else a feeling of complete and utter dread running through the entire thing.

It's a mood setter and a hype builder, achieving both brilliantly, and while it leaves a lot of questions behind, it also drops a few oh-so tantalising hints of what's to come when the show FINALLY returns.

13. What's Sansa's Role?

Since a lot of the trailer focuses on the action at Winterfell, there's not really an awful lot for Sansa to do. She isn't going to be fighting, so instead her part in things is kept to just a couple of brief - if great - shots that don't really tell us much.

Is this indicative of her role in Season 7 as a whole? She has been acting as the Lady of Winterfell, but Jon Snow's back in town now, meaning she might have to give up her position of power, or at least defer to him (and the Dragon Queen he's brought with him).

However, Sansa is a canny player of the game and has learned a lot from the likes of Cersei and Littlefinger, meaning she should still have an important role to play with regards to strategy and what their moves are, and hopefully she can retain a position of influence rather than being pushed to the background.
