Game Of Thrones Season 8 Trailer Review: 7 Ups And 5 Downs

1. It Spoils Very Little

As with all of the best trailers, this teaser is all about establishing mood. Taking away what we know already about the show's final season's story from it and there's actually very little that we can learn from it.

Sure, there are hints and a few half-surprises, but there is absolutely nothing that could be deemed a real, balls-out sort of spoiler. In place of that, we get emotional reaction shots predominantly - Cersei crying, Arya running, the Stark girls in awe of the dragons - and lots of positioning of chess pieces for battle.

It suggests a lot more than it actually shows and that is what you should want from a trailer.

And now to the negatives...
