Game Of Thrones Spin-Off: Everything We Know About 'The Long Night'
3. The Cast Is Being Fleshed Out
Following Watts' casting, a few other pieces of the prequel puzzle started to fall into place, with the next name on the list being Josh Whitehouse. The actor is best-known for his role in BBC series Poldark, and he looks to be a great fit for a Northerner, which mostly likely means he's a Stark. Indeed, since he's another one of the show's stars, he could even be the first Stark, Brandon, who not only founds the house but is also - according to legend - the builder of Winterfell and the Wall.
While other names haven't been confirmed, That Hashtag Show reports two other actresses that are set to join the cast. As per their report, theatre stars Shiela Atim and Denise Gough are both in talks for key roles in the series, although details of what they might be are being kept under wraps. Atim, an Olivier Award winner, would fill one of six major roles expected to be filled by people of colour.
Another one of those almost went to another huge name, with rising MCU star Letitia Wright reportedly in talks at one point for a role in the series, but unfortunately unable to agree terms. Jane Goldman and casting director Lucinda Syson are still at work, so we can expect things to be rounded out in the next few weeks.
