Loras Tyrell hasnt exactly had much to do the past couple seasons. Ever since the Tyrells allied with the Lannisters, hes been hanging around Kings Landing; used as a pawn to cement alliances through marriage. With Tywins death, his scheduled marriage with Cersei will surely be canceled, freeing him to do more exciting things. That might not be so good for him though because with Tywin gone, Cersei will remain Queen Regent for as long as she can. And since it is known how much she hates and distrusts the Tyrells, she will exercise her power and do whatever she can to undermine them before Margaery weds Tommen. Remember, this is the same woman who orchestrated the death of her own husband. Loras better watch out. Loras is a character whose death would be shocking without it being heavy enough to be too distressing for viewers, so there is a pretty good chance he could meet his maker this season. More importantly, it would be the catalyst for greater tension between Cersei and Margaery, a relationship that will become more intense this season. Kings Landing is bound to get worse without Tywins strong leadership, especially with the irrational Cersei taking control. It is very possible that Loras Tyrell could be a casualty in this process.
