9. Jaime Lannister
Jaimes storyline this year is going to be a complete wild card. The show appears to be taking him in a completely different direction compared to the books. Instead of being sent off to the Riverlands, Jaime will be heading to Dorne with Bronn, most likely to secure Myrcellas safety at Cerseis request. Judging by the glimpses of this storyline seen in the trailer, it looks to be fraught with danger. The Sand Snakes, composed of Oberyns 8 bastard daughters, are out for blood; surely the Kingslayer will make a worthy prize. And with his daughter Myrcella in danger as well, Jaime will have to protect her, which could mean giving up his life. You may think Jaime is too major of a character to genuinely be at risk of dying, but Game of Thrones has established time and again that no one is safe. If Jaime isnt destined to play a major part in the end game the show may very well decide to kill him off. It would be a major upset, which is amazing once you remember that he was once a character you couldnt wait to see die. Its hard to say at this point one way or the other, which means you will probably be on the edge of your seat every minute hes on screen this season.
