7. Jorah Mormont
Jorah Mormont wasnt in a good place by the end of last season. Thanks to the maneuverings of Tywin Lannister, Daenerys found out about Jorahs spying on her when she was with the Dothraki. With her trust in Jorah shaken to the core, she banished him from Meereen with the command that he never return. But everyone knows that Jorah is too committed to Daenerys to disappear for good, so it would come as no surprise should he return at some point. The trailer indeed confirms this with a quick shot of him steadying himself for battle against a man with a spear in what looks like a gladiatorial arena, most likely one of the fighting pits of Meereen. This does not happen in the books in any form, so its anybodys guess as to what the outcome of this scene will be. Is Jorah willing to give his life to prove his loyalty? It certainly seems so, which would be a perfectly natural conclusion to Jorahs storyline. This outcome seems entirely possible because no-one has any idea at this stage what role, if any, Jorah will play in the end game. If he no longer has an integral part to play in the overarching story beyond this point in the books, it would be fitting for the show to kill him off in an emotionally satisfying way.
