Game Of Thrones: The Worst Episode From Every Season
4. Season Five - Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
Many viewers like to point to the fifth season as the first sign that GOT was beginning to lose its grip on quality. It's hard to disagree, as the season overall had a fair few misses, but this one takes the cake and can easily be considered the worst episode so far. So, what did it do wrong?
Firstly, the narrative for this one showed as Jamie and Bronn went undercover in Dorne and fought the Sand Snakes, Arya continued her training with the faceless men and Sansa was married to Ramsay Bolton.
Most viewers found the Sand Snakes disappointing, as the offspring of the charismatic Oberyn Martell should have had a little more going for them. Arya's training also took one of the coolest concepts (the faceless men) and made them feel lame. Ultimately, this episode was disjointed and full of lacklustre moments.
It's also important to bring up the controversial ending, which saw Ramsay Bolton rape Sansa Stark on their wedding night. Although this was on-brand for the character and show itself, it certainly didn't help this episode's case.
