Game Of Thrones: The Worst Episode From Every Season
1. Season Eight - The Iron Throne
Fans watched Game of Thrones for nearly an entire decade, waiting for a final pivotal moment that would send the series off on a high. Instead, they got one of the most boring, ill-thought-out, anticlimactic and dumbest finales a show has ever seen. Even shows like Lost, The Sopranos and How I Met Your Mother's infamous endings were less reviled than this.
The previous episode ("The Bells") kicked up a massive storm of frustration from fans for its leaps of logic and rushed execution, but no one was expecting the final episode to be even worse. In the wake of her attack on King's Landing, Jon kills Daenerys, and the rest of the episode is spent figuring out who will take the Iron Throne.
Yes, that's exactly what fans want, one of the most exciting and action-packed TV shows of all time ending with a bland discussion for almost an hour. Not only was this episode one of the most boring outings on TV, but it also felt insulting when the final reveal came, and Bran (who'd had essentially no build-up as a contender for the crown) was chosen.
Overall, the episode fell flat because it felt rushed, poorly paced and improvised. Instead of being a dense and well-established climax that connected to all the previous seasons, it just came across as a poor attempt to loosely tie everything up.
