Game Of Thrones: 10 Actors' Past Roles Which Ruin Their Character

1. Emilia Clarke

DanyGoT Role: Daenerys Targaryen Past Role: Savannah - Triassic Attack Daenerys Targaryen is a great character with plenty about her to like. She has overcome her naivety to become a queen in her own right, and this strong willed khaleesi also has the added bonus of commanding three fire breathing dragons. Clearly, such a gamechanger makes her storyline one people want to follow, if just to see how toting the medieval equivalent of a WMD will turn out. Her narrative sets her apart from the other characters as she is not in Westeros but across the narrow sea in exile. This gives us an insight into the wider world as well as a compelling, well written female lead. Emilia Clarke does a great job of showing Daenerys' vulnerability as well as her power; it's a complex role and one that she excels in. I will start by saying that everyone has to start somewhere. Some people just have to start in terrible Syfy movies. Clarke plays the ditsy teen Savannah in Triassic Attack, a film about dinosaur fossils coming alive and attacking people. It's about as terrible as it sounds with special effects to match. The acting doesn't fare much better and if I'm honest, had someone told me the young actress would go on to successfully portray one of Game of Thrones' most important characters, I'd have thought you were mad. What do you think, have I missed anyone important? Leave a comment below.
