Lets be honest, up until the Red Wedding, nobody (who hadnt read the books) had a clue who Roose Bolton, the cold and calculating Stark bannerman and all-round creepy guy was. Then, after putting a knife through the King in the Norths heart at his uncles wedding, he became one of the most hated characters in the show overnight. If that dastardly deed wasnt enough, his family are infamous in Westeros for torturing and flaying the skin of their victims; the Bolton house even has a flayed man as its sigil! In one moment Roose Bolton became the name on every Game of Thrones fans lips and we wanted to know more. Always calm and collected, we want to watch him because he is different to the usual gung-ho villains of the story. Plus, now that Joffreys dead, we need a new bad guy to hate Roose fills that profile perfectly. The only reason hes not further up on this list is simply because we havent seen enough of him yet, but seeing as hes just been made Warden of the North for his services to the Lannisters, we reckon well be seeing quite a bit more of him in seasons to come.
