The Sand Snakes are Oberyn Martell's eight illegitimate daughters, only 3 of whom will likely appear in Season 5. The eldest 3 are named Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene, while the youngest 5 are too young to make much of an impact. The eldest 3 are daughters of a whore, a noblewoman, and a septa, respectively, while the youngest are daughters of a Summer Islands merchant and Oberyn's paramour, who can be seen in Season 4 watching her lover die. Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene begin warmongering after Oberyn's death, and Doran is forced to imprison them because they are disturbing the peace. By Book 5, however, they have been let out and soon become a part of Doran's inner circle again. At the last time we see them, Obara is hunting for someone who attacked Myrcella, Nymeria is sent to King's Landing to take Oberyn's place on the council, and Tyene is also sent there to befriend the High Sparrow. Nymeria and Tyene will be minor characters and only appear in 2 or 3 episodes, while Obara has been rumored to have a fight with a major character, a fight that doesn't happen in the books (probably Jaime Lannister). Look for her to appear in 4 or 5 episodes.
