Game Of Thrones: 12 New Characters Set For Season 5
3. Lollys Stokeworth
For book readers, the name "Lollys Stokeworth" may evoke some conflicted feelings. After all, book Lollys first appeared far earlier in the series than in the material that will be covered in Season 5, and the significance of her character was directly related to an incident that occurred in the middle of Season 2. As of now, Lollys has been mentioned only briefly by sellsword Bronn, who informs the imprisoned Tyrion in "Mockingbird" that they are to be married. As the dimwitted second daughter in one of the minor noble houses, Tyrion does not understand Lollys' appeal until Bronn, in true amoral style, admits that he plans to arrange an "accident" for her older sister and the Stokeworth heir. So, as of now, Lollys' Season 5 significance is likely going to center around prolonging Bronn's presence in the show, now that he has apparently exited Tyrion's service. As Jerome Flynn's Bronn is one of the most entertaining and baggage-free characters of Game of Thrones, this is not a bad thing; hopefully, however, Lollys will receive some development of her own.
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
