Game Of Thrones: 20 Most Paused Moments

6. The Meereenese Knot (Season 3, Episode 3)

Podrick is a minor supporting character who nevertheless gets a great moment of comic relief in season three, as Tyrion gifts three prostitutes to him due to saving his life during the Battle of the Blackwater. Of the three hookers, the most interesting is a contortionist, Kayla, who manages to bend her legs all the way over her back in what is referred to as the Meereenese Knot, much to the intrigue of Podrick, who was at this point a virgin. The hilarity continues later on when Tyrion discovers that the three prostitutes refused to accept payment for the tryst because they enjoyed it so much, with the three of them being oddly vague about what happened, insisting it was difficult to describe what Podrick did.

5. Jaime Lannister Loses A Hand (Season 3, Episode 3)

Jaime Lannister may be one of the show's less-sympathetic characters, and is known above all else for conducting a sexual relationship with his own sister, Cersei, having fathered three children with her also. That said, it was hard not to feel a little sorry for him when he was severely mutilated by his captor, Locke, who used a carving knife to slice Jaime's hand clean off, graphically shown off to the viewer in this grim shot, as Jaime howls in pain and the episode comes to an end. With Jaime and Brienne's road trip storyline endearing Jaime to audiences a little, this further generated some sympathy for the guy, as the cocky, arrogant, handsome Lannister was knocked down a few pegs with his new disability.
