4. The Assorted Musical Parodies
If there's one thing you can count on the denizens of the Internet to produce for anything and everything, it's a musical parody on YouTube. A mere search for 'Game of Thrones parody' will bring up hundreds of results, including efforts by a handful of heavyweights (as well as a trailer for an 'adult' version, of all things...) These include ScreenTeam, whose adaptation of The Wanted's 'Glad You Came' is somewhat weaker than many of its counterparts, though it does have the plus of featuring Angie Griffin. The effort of BarelyPolitical's The Key Of Awesome, meanwhile, is a take on Maroon 5's Payphone, with Mark Douglas portraying Adam Levine as somebody who gets completely addicted to the show and quits music as a result. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rapo0h-RDnk Elsewhere, The Axis Of Awesome (best known for their great 'Four Chords' song) have released 'Rage Of Thrones', a Rage Against The Machine-esque series of verses about the show, whilst NotLiterally have gone with a creative attack on the show's penchant of killing off major characters without warning, parodying Gotye and Kimbra's worldwide hit Somebody I Used To Know as 'A Character I Used To Know', which reflects on season one's many, many deaths and features its creators (Ginny DiGuiseppi and Dana Ritterbusch) as both the show's characters and as tearful viewers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXSSBu9uKrM
