Game Of Thrones: Season 4 Death Watch (Breaker Of Chains)

8. Most Shocking Moment Of The Week

After the dramatic Purple Wedding, Cersei's madness and Jamie's new-found heroism, audiences were shocked by the turn of events this week. Standing together in the sept, overlooking their dead son's body, we all assumed that Jaime would console his twin sister. How wrong we were. From Jaime's point of view, it's easy to understand his frustrations with Cersei. It was her love, however wrong it might be, that kept him going in the months he was imprisoned by Robb Stark. But to his sister, he is no longer the perfect man she loved; the loss of his hand and prowess makes him less of a man and instead of welcoming him into her arms (and her bed) she rejected him totally. But no frustration can forgive what he does to Cersei. She tells him no countless time, she obvious struggles to push him away, but Jaime does not take no for an answer. He deals with that frustration by raping Cersei. What's worse, he does it at the foot of the altar where Joffrey's dead body lies. It wasn't the biggest moment of the last three episodes, but it was certainly the most shocking moment of 'Breaker Of Chains' and season four as a whole so far.

7. New Credit Locale Of The Week

We were introduced to the Dreadfort and Mereen in week one's title sequence but still nothing new in weeks two or three. One question though - why is there still smoke rising from Winterfell? Surely the fires will be out by now?
