Game Of Thrones: Season 4 Death Watch (Breaker Of Chains)

9. Villain Of The Week

Last week the Queen Regent Cersei Lannister ruled supreme in the villainy stakes but this week she became the victim, first as the grieving mother of Joffrey and then as the subject of Jaime's unwanted advances. From unlikely hero in week one to villain in week three, the Hound destroyed any misguided faith Arya had in his redemption. The man she calls her 'father' in a ruse to gain food and shelter from a man and his daughter instead steals all the silver they have and leaves them from dead, breaking the sacred rule of hospitality. What's so tragic is it wasn't only Arya that hoped he had changed but the man who believed the Hound could protect them from bandits, never knowing that his own guest would rob him and leave him and his daughter at the mercy of the dangers in the riverlands. The Hound show's no remorse ("They'll both be dead by winter). Her eyes opened, Arya sums him up rather succinctly.
"You're the worst sh*t in the seven kingdoms."
