Game Of Thrones: Season 4 'Death Watch' (Loss And Change In Two Swords)

6. Best Soundbites Of The Week

Family woes and relationships were the order of the week. Discussing her future bride with her grandmother, Margery easily summed up her psychopathic groom in one small sentence.
"Perhaps I should let Joffrey chose it for me. End up with a string of dead sparrow heads around me neck."
Though if you think that was depressing, poor Tyrion had summed up his troubles far more dramatically:
"Things are a bit tense right now. My nephew the king wants to murder me. My wife hates me because my father murdered her family. Oberyn Martell wants to murder everyone whose last name is Lannister."
Perhaps he should have stayed in bed... (Oh, and we could quote The Hound all day long, but then my article might be shut down.)

5. Charles Dance Versus...

This week...Tywin versus Jaime. Tywin won, right? Actually, in a surprising turn of events, Jaime chose to remain in the Kingsguard despite his father's wishes for him to return as the heir of Casterly Rock. With a simple no, Jaime put down his father and it was impressive to watch.

4. A Tribute To...

Appropriately, considering the themes of the episode, this week's tribute is to the most questionable relationship of them all...Jaime and Cersei Lannister. Just as it was in the books, Jaime's new found honour is far too sickening for the power-hungry queen. She blames him for leaving her (pardon Jaime for being captured). Between the wine and the resentment, it seems like shenanigans between the twins are a thing of the past.

3. Best Book-To-Screen Of The Adaption Of The Week

Arya regains her precious needle from Polliver, in a scene that somehow managed to be played just beautifully but at the same time remain completely disturbing to watch. Did you see that half-smile on her face as she drove the sword through his head? There was no hesitation in Arya as she killed him. You've got to love the pony ride afterwards as she heads of with the Hound for her next round of murder and mayhem...
