Games Of Thrones Season 7 Finale: What 'The Dragon And The Wolf' Really Means
14. The Hound's Prophecy
We didn't get Cleganebowl, which is something of a shame (though it's unclear at the minute whether The Mountain is capable of anything other than shuffling a few steps threatening in front of anyone who wrongs Cersei), but we did get to see an intriguing conflict between the two.
They came together for a WrestleMania stare-down, with The Hound oddly telling Gregor that he's not the one to kill him, and that he "knows what's coming for him". That ominous warning, and the "you've always known" seems to suggest that there's prophecy of sorts concerning the Mountain's death. Unless of course he means Arya is coming for him, which would be slightly illogical (given the "always known" line), but much more bad-ass.
So what could that prophecy refer to? Is the Mountain doomed to be slain by the Lord Of Light? Or does The Hound merely mean that justice is coming for him? It's an intriguing thought.
And of course, given the fact that Cersei isn't done fighting, we might get get to see the Cleganes fight.
