Games Of Thrones Season 4: 20 Most Hotly Anticipated Moments
20. The Mutineers At Craster's Keep
One of the rumours that came out of season four was that we would be seeing Rast and the rest of the Nights Watch mutineers again. This was confirmed with a shot in the trailer of Rast laying a baby in the snow, most likely one of Crasters sons being sacrificed to the White Walkers. In the books, they end up just eating all of Crasters reserves and wandering out into the Haunted Forest, but their fate looks to be different in the show. In fact, it looks to be tied to Jon Snow and the Nights Watch themselves. Really, it makes sense that, upon hearing what happened to Mormont, Jon would want to avenge him. In the books, he doesnt have time to even consider this, as the wildlings arrive soon after he does, but the show looks to be giving this story more room to breath, and so it makes sense that the writers would invent a subplot involving Jon leading a band of crows to take the mutineers out. It externalizes Jons development into a leader while providing us with a decent action sequence. Part of the anticipation for this scene comes from it not being from the books. While some of the additions to the show have been of questionable quality, this one sounds great and should be welcome by most fans.
