Glee: 15 Greatest Moments From The Show So Far

1. Rachel Sings "Don't Rain On My Parade"

Lea Michele is an incredible singer, and the power she creates with this one performance was enough to allow her to re-perform it in front of a whole host of big name celebrities at the Tony Awards. If only the Tony Awards awarded TV shows, Glee, and this episode in particular, "Sectionals" from season 1, would clean up. This was at the time the most powerful performance we had seen Rachel give, and to all those previously that had thought she was an annoying character, it is difficult not to respect both her and the actress for the remarkable talent they have. I understand why Will gave all the solo's to Rachel from then on, because this performance really and truly blew me away. In this episode, this one performance pretty much wins the sectional competition for the entire New Directions, and probably also was enough to win over a lot of of new Gleeks too. Rachel may be an annoying character at times, but this wonderful rendition which equals Barbra Streisand's puts Rachel well and truly in the hall of fame of greatest TV characters of all time. She was also awarded a place in Time magazines 100 most influential people in the world that year- perhaps this award was a little bit dramatic, but it just goes to show how incredibly moved millions of people where when this show began. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xuIDbrZv4g Thanks for reading this list of my all time favorite moments from Glee so far (look out for the Grease episode in a months time- so far it looks epic). I'd really love to (honestly, I would) hear all the moments that stand out for you in the comments section below...

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future. (As of January 2013 I have had over 1 million views since joining WhatCulture in September 2012. You can reach me at danieljamesbowen@hotmail.co.uk)
