Glee: 5 Awesome Celebrity Guest Stars and 5 That Sucked

1. Kristen Chenoweth as "April Rhodes"

This Tony Award winning stunning ray of sunshine is not only the best glee celebrity guest star by a mile but arguably one of the greatest Glee characters ever created. Sure, whenever the Glee creators are creating a new female character they pretty much repeat the same conventions over and over again, usually writing a promiscuous, alcoholic, emotional wreck (Holly, Casandra, Shelby etc. etc.) but this character can be forgiven because she was Glee's first and best. Kristen Chenoweth can't help but put a smile on you face. Her smile is infectious and she glows so brightly that you'd think she had swallowed a star. There really aren't enough positive words to describe this actress and her voice will and probably has blown you away. If anyone has the pipes to give Lea Michele (Rachel) a run for her money and even often out beat perform her it is this multi-talented actress. Every episode in which she appeared was all the better for it and Season 3 struggled somewhat simply because April Rhodes didn't make an appearance. If there is one celebrity I am hoping makes an encore appearance in Season 4 it is this one, and considering the character herself has gone on to apparently be a big Broadway star, I see no reason why Rachel and Kurt wouldn't either go and watch one of her performances on Broadway as VIP guests, bump into her on the streets or she could even appear as a Nyada guest teacher. I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
