5. Molly Shannon as "Brenda Castle"
The reason Molly Shannon (who by the way is one of my favorite comedic actresses) features on the worst list is because frankly I can barely even remember her being on the show. Even though I am a huge Glee fan, I had to wikipedia her appearance on Glee to jog my memory about the character that she played. Apparently she was an alcoholic astronomy teacher and badminton coach who made an enemy out of Sue Sylvester. The thing is though, even though this character appeared in two Glee episodes, no one can really remember her being on the show, and despite the fact that I probably laughed at her lines at the time, her character had very little impact on me. This is probably because in both of the episodes she features in she is dwarfed by bigger name stars who have much more screen time... Neil Patrick Harris being one and Olivia Newton John as the other. The biggest shame though is that this character sounds like it has a lot of potential, and had they kept her around on the show more she could of been a lot of fun.
