Good Cop: 10 Reasons It Needs Another Series

8. The Plot Is So Compelling

When Sav isn't hunting down his nemesis' and killing baddies, he is also left with something of a tumultuous home-life. It isn't all bullets and bravado. His dad, Robert Rocksavage (Michael Angelis) is dying, his girlfriend Cassandra (Aisling Loftus) is estranged from him and won't allow him access to his daughter, Libby (Chloe Thomson). All this makes Sav the person he is - we see his doting side as he tries to win back the love of his life and daughter; the tender side to him where he spends his time off reading from books to his invalid, dying dad and the ruthless side to him where he is putting bullets in baddies. All this means the plot is by no means linear, and in fact has substance and depth to it. We want to see if Sav can cope with the death of his father in a second series, and find out what affect that has on his already burdened mind. We also want to see if he can get his daughter Libby involved in his life as well as whether or not he will rekindle a romance with Casandra. We want these questions to be resolved in a second series.
