Good Omens - Ranking Every Episode Worst To Best

2. Episode Six - The Very Last Day Of The Rest Of Their Lives

The finale starts in quite an unexpected fashion. After the ending of the previous episode has everyone where they need to be for the finale, episode six starts with a time jump to Crowley's trial that makes sense later on, but could be slightly confusing to begin with. That, and how easily the four horsemen are defeated are the only real negatives to this episode. Other than this it is a fantastic finish to a brilliant series.

With previous experience of playing monsters Smaug and Dormammu, Benedict Cumberbatch nails his brief cameo as Satan. While there is no epic battle between ten million angels and demons, Adam's defiance to the Devil is a more than satisfying ending.

Yet there is still a lot of the episode left, and it is focused back on the two that started it all. Crowley and Aziraphale won their battle and ingeniously swapped bodies to evade punishment from their respective sides. A conclusion that is even more satisfying than Adam's.

Episode six managed to wrap every story up as neatly as possible. Shadwell and Madame Tracey live happily ever after, Newton and Anathema live happily ever after, Adam is just a normal kid with Dog, and most importantly, Crowley and Aziraphale won their battle and remain the best of friends.
