Gotham: 10 Most Disturbing Episodes

Gotham started its dark trend pretty early with the obligatory death of the Waynes in the first episode, but the second featured a far more disturbing story.

Street kids are being lured into a van by a couple from the "Homeless Outreach Project", never to be seen again. Gordon and Bullock stumble onto the case while investigating a murder, and it soon escalates when they discover that dozens of homeless teens have been abducted.

It turns out that Patti and Doug have been procuring wayward souls for the Dollmaker, but before the detectives can catch up to them, they've managed to hijack a bus headed for a juvenile detention centre, with none other than a young Selina Kyle on board.

After arriving at a warehouse instead of their intended destination, Selina realises something is wrong and hides. She then proceeds to attack one of the warehouse workers off-screen, who screams, alerting Patty. Clutching his eyes, Patty tells him it's just a scratch, and it's revealed that young Selina Kyle has gouged his eyes out - likely with her bare hands - before escaping. Dark.
