At times it seems like Harley Quinn might even be surpassing her psychotic love interest in terms of popularity. She's showing up in Arrow, gets a starring role in the upcoming Suicide Squad film (played by Wolf Of Wall Street actress Margot Robbie, no less), and she's held down an ongoing comic book series far longer than The Joker's ever managed. Factor in cosplay recognition and video game appearances too, and it's like she's giving the Clown Prince Of Crime a run for his money. So it make sense that the possibility of her appearing in Gotham has been brought up, with executive producer Danny Cannon promising we'll get there, and show creator Bruno Heller stating that We havent got Harley Quinn in . And Harley Quinn is definitely planned for later on, but so far no. Well, the first season is just about done and dusted, which means we're onto the later on part of that equation. Harley's origins are mostly tied up in The Joker, but seeing Dr Harleen Quinzel the Arkham psychiatrist later to be charmed by Batman's great villain in her early, perhaps equally as suggestible years, would be quite the treat in season two. And it looks like we might just get that.
