Gotham: 15 Craziest Moments

12. Bruce Vs. Fake Alfred (Season 4, Episode 21 - 'One Bad Day')

Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) were an iconic duo. Throughout Gotham, they had a few disagreements but nothing came close to matching this fight.

Due to Scarecrow's 'fear gas,' Bruce got involved in a violent fight with a fake Alfred. It wasn't particularly enjoyable to see the pair go head to head, knowing their true respect for each other, but it did provide a fresh dynamic.

Pertwee is a great actor but he often had to hold back physically as Alfred is a very reserved man. Here, that wasn't the case as Scarecrow's 'fear gas' rid the character of any moral goodness. This made for an interesting struggle. Bruce had to defend himself, but he also didn't want to injure Alfred.

Bruce had definitely come a long way since season one and it was exciting to see him hold his own in such an intense fight - both physically and emotionally. This scene's intensity was made possible thanks to the great relationship Pertwee and Mazouz had built between their characters over the years.
