Gotham Season 2: 10 Awesome Moments (And 4 That Sucked)

8. Gordon Finally Crosses The Line

Jim Gordon has faced an uphill battle since the day he stepped into the GCPD as a rookie - albeit with military experience and a face completely and utterly lacking in any form of non-essential facial hair. It€™s not easy to avoid becoming morally bankrupt on the streets of Gotham when everyone and their grandmother€™s goldfish is dipping their fingers in the pies of temptation. The driving force behind season one€™s core narrative was Gordon trying to toe the line after he narrowly avoided putting a bullet in the back of Penguin€™s head. It was the right decision as there's so much hair gel there that the richocet would have killed Jim instead. Season two turns that internal conflict all the way up to eleven by immediately having Gordon broker a deal with Cobblepot, ensuring he'll be able to exist out of Loeb's looming shadow. Slowly unraveling and aware that he may have his very own monster barricaded inside himself, Jim goes from flirting with the dark side to sloppily sucking face in the pub with her while everyone sips their pints in discomfort. By the end of the season, Gordon is a changed man. Barnes' confession helped Jim understand who he€™ll have to be and what he€™ll have to do to protect Gotham. He finally shows where he stands by shooting Galavan in the leg and allowing Penguin to make Theo deep-throat an umbrella, like a very confused Linda Lovelace. Just imagine what happens if you open that umbrella. Gordon has shown his true colours and he is now less of a boy scout. As for Galavan, his body was taken to Dr. Strange, presumably so Theo can become Azrael somewhere down the line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEjRVgk6tuU
