4. The Maniax
Despite having one of the most throwback nineties comic book team names in existence (right up there with Bloodrain and Deathkill one of which I shall name my son), the The Maniax provided plenty of entertainment for the first act of season two. Greenwood was like a little troll that lured children with promise of free WiFi but he actually provided Jerome with some competition. Dobkins was cannon fodder, Barbara was the seductress and the caveman known as Helzinger survived, possibly to turn up with a new alias down the line (Humpty Dumpty, you say?). The fact that they actually managed to spell out MANIAX with bodies thrown off the side of a building is admittedly pretty f***ing impressive, like postmodern art for an exhibit in the third circle of Hell. Throw in the potentially delicious cheerleader barbecue (dont knock it until youve tried it) and the menacing raid on the GCPD and The Maniax turned out to be a pretty formidable threat.
