Gotham Season 2: 10 Awesome Moments (And 4 That Sucked)

3. Bridgit Embraces The Flame

Thankfully, only a small amount of the women in Gotham use sex and promiscuity as a weapon (Barbara and Tabitha), while the rest are varied from a doctor to a street punk to LIVING FLAMETHROWER, two words that need to be together at all times. Just like Charlie Sheen, Firefly got to spray fire all over unsuspecting people and it was glorious. The handling of Firefly in Gotham was deft and it wasn€™t as simple an accomplishment as €˜let€™s give him boobs and voila, new character!€™. The writers took a one-note villain, provided a much more interesting origin and made them part of the overarching seasonal plot. Bridgit was a former street kid €˜saved€™ by the pyromaniac professional arsonist Pike brothers €“ one of whom is Telly from Kids, a character whom I have despised since the day Larry Clark tried to ruin unsafe sex for me. The Pike brothers treated Bridgit like a slave and abused her with the threat of working the streets if she refused. The dynamic on the screen was suitably saddening and creepy so it was extremely cathartic to see her use what terrified her the most as a tool to dispatch them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEOsa-Usgjw

When I was a kid, I used to think the moon followed our car everywhere.
