Gotham Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen

10. More Good Guys

The first season of Gotham ended with Jim Gordon's back firmly against the wall. Not only was the Gotham City Police Department as rampant with corruption as it had been when he joined it, but forensic scientist Edward Nygma had been set upon the path that would one day lead him to become iconic Batman villain The Riddler. That's a tantalising set up for the second season, with Gordon having to make do with the poor hand he's been dealt and struggling to get back on top of things, with the dark moral void of Gotham City continuing to threaten to consume him. It would be nice if he got a tiny little bit of help along the way. It's all well and good highlighting the corruption of the GCPD, and the unlikely and shaky working relationship between Gordon and Bullock is compelling, but throw the guy a bone. He can only do so much. And if he did single-handedly turn around the whole city, it'd be difficult to believe. Hopefully some more Good Cops will appear to balance the Bad.
